Week 2 Resistentialism

Resistentialism

Wickepedia defines resistentialism as a jocular theory to describe "seemingly spiteful behavior manifested by inanimate objects”

Until reading Chandler' Technological Determinism I did not know the definition of resistentialism.
Thankfully, now I have a name and explanation for the inexplicable. I sometimes feel there are conspiracies preventing me from a smooth but hasty exit from my home, or that accidents and mishaps  come in threes for a reason.  It’s been happening a lot lately and I hardly see the "jocularity" of it.
This past week I had an outfit just perfect for a pair of shoes but one of them was hiding; I had to change at the last minute. My freezer went on strike so all my frozen foods, including ice cream, melted or thawed. Most annoyingly, I had a number of arguments with my car navigation system this week and, I lost every one of them. She seems to know when I am running late and have no idea where I’m going.
I used to think I was talking out-loud to myself but now I know there are others listening!
